Asphalt 5 for iPhone

Asphalt 5-games for iPhone

The game plays like most racers, and as you play through the multinational levels, you gain money for winning and use it to buy more cars and tweak their performance. There’s also a leveling system, which controls which cars you can buy. There are more than 30 cars and motorbikes to unlock, each with their own play style and stats. As you level up, you also unlock girls, who give you a boost in one way or another. Though it would have been nice to see a guy thrown in there too, just to even things out.
Asphalt 5-games for iPhoneThe controls are absolutely perfect for the iPhone in their default mode. You steer with tilt, and the only buttons you have to worry about are boost and brake. The steering is very touchy, so it is easy to oversteer, and go pinballing between sides of the course. Not exactly true to life, but more fun that way. You earn more cash through crazy stunts too, in a similar way to the Burnout games. So driving people off the road, narrowly avoiding traffic, smashing street signs all earn you money. However, totaling your car costs you a lot, both in race time and money, so avoid incoming traffic.

iDracula Games for iPhone

iDracula-games for iPhoneiDracula ($0.99, iTunes link) is a sign that gaming on the iPhone platform is maturing. It’s an intense survival game where you play a vampire hunter besieged by hordes of werewolves, vampires, and other nasty creatures. The game is pure monster-killing fun. With spectacular graphics, cool weapons, interesting magical powers, and uptempo game play, it’s one of the better iPhone games out there, and the first non-puzzle game that I feel really utilizes the iPhone platform correctly. Due to its small size, it’s still not on par with something you’d find on a PSP or DS, but maybe this is what the iPhone and iPod Touch is all about: quick, fun, casual games. We are rating iDracula 8.5 out of 10, highly recommended.

iDracula-games for iPhoneiDracula isn’t merely a shoot’em up, although there is plenty of shooting (you pretty much spend the entire game firing your guns). The key to surviving is how you spend character upgrades. After a certain amount of experience points are gained, a green icon appears that you tap to access a random list of upgrades. Some of the upgrades are throwaways, like “kills all monsters but you die in 10 seconds.” The beneficial upgrades can increase your total health or cool powers. My favorite is telekinesis, which causes items like healing potions and new weapons to slowly slide across the ground toward you and makes them easier to collect.

Sims 3, The best Game for iPhone

sims 3-games for iPhone

Sims
for the iPhone ($6.99, iTunes link) is a truly fun game that feels remarkably similar to the PC and console versions. I can save you the trouble of reading this review by briefly summing up my thoughts: buy this game. Sims 3 is incredibly addictive and a real gem among iPhone games. I can’t even tell you how much time I’ve already wasted on it.

For those not familiar with the Sims series, it works pretty simply. You create your own character by choosing a gender, skin tone, eye color, hair color, clothing and accessories. The choices are pretty extensive, as you can even choose from different styles of jeans and a few different hairstyles. Then you select the personality you want for your Sim. I selected ‘nice girl’ for my Sim, but you can also have fun with the ‘maniac’ and ’sleaze’ personas.
